Ananda Cohen Suarez is Assistant Professor of Art History in the History of Art department at Cornell. Her research centers on pre-Columbian and colonial Latin American visual culture, with an emphasis on issues of visuality, cross-cultural exchange, and the continuity of indigenous artistic traditions in the post-conquest world. She has worked at the American Museum of Natural History, the Hispanic Society of America, and the Museo Tumbas Reales del Señor de Sipán in Lambayeque, Peru.
Stephanie Wiles is Richard J. Schwartz Director of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art. She oversees the Museum of Art’s operations and staff; a collection of more than 35,000 artworks including extensive holdings in Asian and contemporary art; and an educational and outreach mission with programming serving the Cornell campus, the local community, and the region. Prior to her appointment at the Johnson Museum, Dr. Wiles served as John G.W. Cowles Director of the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College.
Cathy Rosa Klimaszewski is Associate Director/Harriet Ames Trust Curator of Education at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art. Klimaszewski has worked at the Johnson Museum for 26 years, and has been head of the education department since 1993. The Museum’s education programs, serving both the Cornell campus and the Finger Lakes region, have received national recognition and funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts, Institute of Museum and Library Services, and numerous foundations.
